Amy & Carl's Wedding July 2011
We were delighted to be asked to help celebrate the wedding of Amy & Carl at the gorgeous Devere Hotel - Herons Reach in Blackpool.  We first met Amy and her family at the Debenhams Wedding Weeking in Preston and Amy loved our Lollipop tree and display.

We were in contact with Amy leading upto her wedding making sure all the details were correct, sweet choices, stationery choices etc and getting very excited in the run up time.

Then finally the magical day was here.  The weather that week was a bit hit and miss and then all of a sudden, Saturday turned into be a beautiful warm sunny day.  We jumped in the car and took a drive upto Blackpool and got to the hotel with plenty of time to get all set up.  This was the approach to the hotel it was lovely xx

It was great to see everyone's face as they walked into the room when we were all setup - there was lots of "wows - jaws hitting the floor - smiles" it is reasons like this that we love our job so much to see the joy we bring.  Amy & Carl looked fab as well as their guests and Carl's sweet tooth was truly doing a happy dance when he saw the Candy Buffet.  Here are a few pics from the happy day, and thank you to Amy & Carl for allowing us to share such a personal and wonderful moment in your lives, we wish every happiness for your future together xxx

We were over the moon to be asked to help at the Annual Retreat for Amy & Friends our favourite charity which was set up by Jayne & Mark Hughes to help raise awareness for children who have been diagnosed with Cockayne Syndrome (a premature ageing disease).  The children and families are amazing and we loving getting together with everyone.  We got there on the Saturday and had time to sit and chat with some of the families and meet more of the wonderful children.  Then we got all ready for the night time event x

Debenhams Wedding Event 19-20th Feb 2001 - Preston
We were amazed to receive a phone call from the lovely Louise asking us to attend their in-store wedding event.  Louise explained that she really wanted a candy buffet and Julia had been to the Tickled Trout event we attended the day before.  Obviously we said yes and was even happier when their cupcake lady dropped out, meaning Lesley of Cupcakes in the City could be with us again (such a happy arrangement we have), so we were both busy working on our displays and goodies and the day came of leaving the house around 07:00 (well more like 07:30) and travelled to Preston.  We entered through the loading area and got busily setting up our display ready for the days shoppers.  Our table was a mix of our Candy Buffet, Dessert Table, large cupcake tree, lollipop tree, wishing tree, cupcake centrepiece and gift and favour packaging items.  We met sooo many lovely people on the Saturday and were even asked to exhibit at Ribby Hall on the 27th February 2011 (updates next week after we have been).  Sunday was a little quieter but we still met lots of lovely peeps and we managed to show people that we are not just for weddings and spoke to a lovely lady who is having a joint 40th & 50th birthday with her sister how delicious xxx  We are delighted to say that we are now working with Debenhams for the next 12 months and are information leaflets will be found in all new packs for the brides who are to register with Debenhams UH-MAZING !!!! xx  We shall leave you now with some shots of our display xxx

Tickled Trout Hotel - 6th February 2011

We were delighted to be asked by our good baking friend Lesley of cupcakes in the city to join her at the Tickled Trout Wedding fair.  We arrived at 10:00 am for a 12:00 start and set about setting our tables up, we had a wonderful circular table that showcased our items wonderfully with Lesley right next to us, which was perfect as we have joined forces to create a few and we feel unique pieces such as Cupcake Topiary trees and bouquets.  The tree took most of the setting up time but the end result was sure worth it.  We also displayed our Lollipop Trees, favour items, water bottles, sample set up of our Candy Buffet and our new favourite item 'Tea Tag's'.  We hope you agree that our table looked fab xxx

We also met some fab other suppliers who I will be adding links to our Favourite Links page very shortly, but just quickly they were, Barbara's of Standish, Hays Travel (but the personal service not a shop based setup), Especially for You, Michelle Read Hair and a wonderful photographer who we will be working with shortly for another fair in Morecambe in aid of Help For Heroes which is a chairty the Eye Candy girls will support all the time and is extremely close to our hearts.
